There are many reasons we need to detox in today's world, clearing our circulation of toxins to improve our health and mental clarity. A cleanse after all the holiday food and drink, a New Year's resolution, or just an interest in becoming healthier can motivate us to detox.

The liver is the largest glandular organ in your body that performs hundreds of functions to keep your body clean and free from toxins. This amazing Qigong Flow routine focuses on purging the liver. Its recommended to purge the liver often as a way to support liver function and blood circulation, especially if you indulge in fried or fatty foods or alcohol. This routine is designed to clear the clinical conditions of "Excess Liver Qi, Liver Rising, and Liver Fire", and includes the use of healing sounds.

Emotionally, this routine is great to do if you feel stress, anger, blocked, frustration, agitation, aggression, if you are an overachiever and too busy. This routine is also beneficial for women who have painful menstrual cycles, PMS, or menopause hot flashes.

Here’s what science tells us: qigong exercise triggers your body’s natural defenses and processes, and maintains liver and kidney health. Qigong exercise will kickstart the natural detox process as it clears the lungs, stimulates the skin, and increases blood flow, promoting better circulation and pumping white blood cells through the body.

Exercise also has a positive impact on one of your body’s other defenses against toxins: the lymphatic system. This important system includes lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes that circulate lymph fluid, helping you maintain healthy immunity and protect you from other harmful substances, flushing out toxins and bacteria more effectively.

Mental detox is often overlooked, but is equally important. We encounter stressors over the course of the day which accumulate and add to your baseline of stress and anxiety. Qigong exercise releases endorphins that relive your stress and improve your chemistry, boosting your mood and immunity.

The best time of year to focus on detoxification is the months prior to the Spring Equinox (especially February and March). However, this powerful Qigong can detox your system year-round. Do this routine while fasting for an extra powerful cleanse! Filmed in beautiful Austin, Texas.

This program also pairs well with YOQI: Qigong Flow for Mental Clarity.
